    Ride
Insurance
Members should give serious consideration to joining British Cycling or CTC in order to get 3rd party liability insurance for when they are on club runs. The current cheapest available is British Cycling's "Ride" (formerly Everyday Cycling) membership at £24.00 but CTC membership is available at £22.50 for the "unwaged". Ordinary CTC membership is now £32.00 and British Cycling's Silver membership is £36. Members are reminded that Rule 8 of the club constitution and rules states that members should be affiliated (i.e. members of an organisation providing 3rd party liability cover)

    Mallorca
A number of people have expressed an interest in going to Mallorca again this year. The club usually goes the week before the Whitsun Bank Holiday, which would be Saturday 22nd-29th May. We need to establish whether there is enough interest to make a trip viable. If anyone wants to go on this trip can they please email Helen Russell by 19th Feb at the latest
If there is enough interest we will then find out about availability and get definite quotes based on the number of people who want to go. As we are booking later this year the cost may be slightly higher. The estimated cost would be about £600 to include hotel (half-board), flights and bike hire.

    Thank You
The Christmas dinner was a huge success with a good time being had by all. A few hardy soles braved the icy conditions on their bikes but most members either walked or arrived by car. Many thanks to Pam and Sue for preparing and cooking our wonderful, tasty lunch. The food was excellent and the service, by Carol, Caroline, Cathy, Muriel and Rosie, first class.
